You should see 30 Days of Night and have a Happy Halloween. I'm surprised you haven't already seen it. The theater we saw it at today ran no ads in front of the film, just 3 trailers and then the feature. No slides beforehand clumsily advertising local dentists or awkward Amex video. It was as if I was transported back to 1981. I still think something was broken so we were saved from the 20 minute opening reel.
Go! You'll probably love the horrorshow and Josh Hartnett is good in something for a change. He seems to have soaked up a lot of Harrison Ford's film acting tricks and puts them to good use here. The scenario and story are great, the incidental casting is wonderful and it gives a new look at how vampires hunt and how we would hunt them in return.
