Good Blog Day

Yesterday was an avalanche of interesting reading by my friends and fellow bloggers:

•My brother Jay put a story about Bush that was intended to be positive but of course, my brother found a way to denigrate it and make me laugh in the process. He also wrote a cool hybrid poem that wasn't really a poem but was sort of poem. Very Interesting.

•Carolyn opened up her brilliant brain for analysis.

•Bake Town got me caught up on all the latest Bako news.

•Michelle Guzman reminded everyone not to pump gas on the 15th.

•Eric Womack discusses the fires in LA and the fires in his heart.

*And Vincent Lambert posted more sexy pics of the disgraced Prime Minister of Israel, Roman Ragazzi.

It was a fun day of reading! Keep on blogging, people, keep on blogging!

Popcorn and Diet Coke

I had a bag of popcorn tonight (94% fat free butter) as well as a Diet Coke (o calories, thank you very much) The popcorn bag came in a pack and I'm guessing each bag maybe costs 1.50. The Diet Coke costs about 40 cents each. So here's my question: Why don't I mind spending 10 bucks on popcorn and a Diet Coke at the movies even though I can have them at home any night of the week for about 2 bucks? Why it so much more fun to eat popcorn at a movie theatre than it is to eat it at home? Anyone?

Poser

Met a guy from CraigsList last week. We had a good time. He called tonight and wanted to come back. It was late, I had things to do, I wasn't horny so I said yes. The thing he wanted to do tonight was pretend that he was a nude model and I was sketching him. I'm very honest with ya'll so believe me when I say this was not my scene, it did nothing for me sexually, I didn't even get undressed. He just wanted me to watch him pose and sketch. I found it slightly tedious actually but I went along cause he's a very nice guy and I'm always up for something sexual I can exploit down the line via my blog, a film, a play, etc. So I'm sharing with you the sketch I did. I tried to get him to take it home but he wanted me to keep it and I'm glad I did. Now it will live forever on my blog. Notice the penis in two states: flaccid (red state?) and rock hard (blue state!).

Normal Eggs

I cooked eggs and toast for breakfast. I joke about people who write blogs and tell you what they had for breakfast and now here I am doing it. But here's the disturbing part, whenever I cook for breakfast I feel like an extremely normal person; I feel sane, healthy and all-American. So I'm standing there cooking my eggs, which is unbelievably easy by the way, and I suddenly start thinking about all the serial killers, wife-beaters, rapists and child molesters who had eggs for breakfast before committing their atrocities. So why do I think healthy people cook eggs for breakfast? How did this insane propaganda get in my head? What the fuck is wrong with me???

The eggs were delicious by the way.

And I Am Telling You

The great theater song And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going, is both a blessing and curse. If you sing it well, audiences will love you and leap to their feet and give you awards. But if you sing it too well, if you make too big a mark with it, if you really own it, it will own you as well. Jennifer Holliday who basically "created" the song has never escaped it's grasp and now it seems LaKisha has suffered the same fate. Nothing Lakisha sang on American Idol equalled the power of her singing "that song" in an early episode. She blew us away when she sang it but then everything since has been a letdown. Lakisha's journey on Idol is a mirror of the career of Jennifer Holiday and possibly Jennifer Hudson, who won an Oscar for singing it. It will be interesting to see if unlike Jenifer Holliday, Lakisha and Hudson can escape the pull of that powerful song, but I have my doubts. Will Hudson and Lakisha ever sing anywhere again without audiences begging to hear that song just one more time? My advice to Melinda Doolittle: never sing that song. Whatever you do, never sing that song!

Larry Birkhead vs Liviu Librescu

Larry Birkhead and Liviu Librescu. Do you know these names? Which one do you know? Do you know both or just one. How much do you know about Larry Birkhead? How much do you know about Liviu Librescu.

I felt sick to my stomach today when I realized the Virginia Tech Massacre got about a week of national attention while the Anna Nicole Smith saga riveted our national attention for months. Larry Birkhead is a household name and Liviu Librescu is, well, I'd never even heard his name til I looked it up 5 minutes ago. He's the holocaust survivor who was gunned down while protecting his students at Virginia Tech. He escaped a psycho in Germany only to be gunned down by a psycho in America.

Librescu should be a household name, renowned for heroism in the face of tragedy. He should be hailed for the great things he did with his life. Little kids should grow up wanting to be just like him. Woman should aspire to marry a guy like him. Men should want to be him. To be Librescuesque should mean to be heroic. None of us knew the name Larry Birkhead until the media decided we should know it. If they wanted to, the media could turn Librescu into a household name. But I doubt they want to.

Who are the Bee Gees?

My 26 year old neighbor once asked me who the Bee Gees were. I'm still recovering from the shock of that question. And her favorite movie is Grease. Go figure. Anyway, I hope she wasn't watching American Idol tonight. It was a dreadful night. I was prepared for an evening of my favorite Bee Gees songs, Tragedy, More Than A Woman, How Deep Is Your Love, etc. But instead of hits we got a bunch of songs no one had ever heard and will probably never hear again. Ugh! It was made all the worse by the fact that I watched the whole thing on the treadmill. I felt trapped.

Tragedy!
When the feelings gone
And you can't go on
It's tragedy!

My CX6000

A few weeks ago I contemplated buying a small copy machine. I assumed it would be expensive. So, today, I decide to go buy a new printer. Where have I been??? They make printers-scanner-copy machine all in one now! I know this isn't news but I had no idea. I got one for 100 bucks. Bear in mind, I bought a scanner 6 months ago for 80 bucks. Just a scanner. So I'm very happy about my purchase. I hope it works. It's an Epson. I've always had an Epson. I love Epson but I'm not sure why.

Just Say No

I was invited to brunch at 10 AM. I said, "No." They asked again. I said, "No." One, I don't like making plans a week in advance and two, I don't schedule ANYTHING before 2 pm. That's my rule. The night before the brunch I'm talking to my two friends and they say,"you're going to brunch period. You're going." They don't ask me they tell me. I'm tired of saying no so I say, "fine, I'll go." They wore me down. Fast forward to 6 am, 4 hours before the brunch. I text-message them saying: 'I'm going to bed. Won't be at brunch. Sorry." The next day they get mad at me, MAD AT ME, because I bowed out and here's the coup de' grace, they say, "Well, Ronnie if you didn't want to go, you should've just said no."

I almost lost it. I did say no, you tricky motherfuckers. I said it 10 times. Maybe, before I turn 40 I'll master the art of saying, "NO."

Short and Sweet

My favorite blogs to read are short blogs. When I go to a blog with 5 or 6 paragraphs I tend to skim. And yet, on my own blog if I just write 5 or 6 lines I feel like its inadequate. So, I write more and I publish and then I view it in published form and it looks waaaaay too long. I want to blog shorter. I do. I really do. My next 10 blog entries are gonna be super short so I can practice.

Next

Expectation is half the battle. Today was free popcorn Tuesday. I love free popcorn Tuesday but the only two movies playing today that I would even consider seeing were Next and Invisible. The trailer for Next looked horrible and I really didn't want to see it but I went anyway, just to get my free popcorn and I actually had a fabulous time. I imagined I'd be walking out after 30 minutes but I was totally engrossed from the beginning.

Next is basically Groundhog Day rewritten as an action movie. It's about life and the choices we make to affect the future. Imagine being able to see 2 minutes in to the future and making decisions based on that information, that's the premise.

The only people in the theater were me and a couple. During the opening credits when Nicolas Cage's name popped up on the screen, the young woman loudly exclaimed, "Nicolas Cage?!?!?!?" She was beside herself with excitement. I'm always intrigued by people who buy movie tickets without knowing anything about the movie. They know they want to see it but they know NOTHING about it! Imagine seeing Spiderman 3 and yelling out during the credits, "Tobey Maguire!?!?!?!"

And another thing, why is Jessica Biel suddenly in every movie? I don't understand.

Jane Fonda,

You're breaking my heart. I just saw you on Letterman. I'm in love with you. I find you totally fascinating and captivating. You talked about battling bears in your house and cougars and fly-fishing. You told the audience how good sex can be at 70. You were wearing a shirt made of milk and pants made of hemp. "Drink my top and smoke my bottom", you said! I've missed you all these years. You should never have retreated from public life and movie-making.

But now you're back and making movies I can barely sit through. That Jennifer Lopez thing was a disaster and Georgia Rule looks even worse. Please make movies without Lindsay Lohan and Jennifer Lopez. Please make more movies like The China Syndrome. Please. I'm begging.

I LOVE Imarsman!

I just stumbled on this guys blog a few weeks and I'm a huge fan now! Look at these bee pics I just stole! My god! I can't stop staring st them. I've never seen such beautiful bee photos in my entire life! Go to his site so I won't feel so bad about stealing his pics! I should e-mail him. I will. For some reason the photos look even better on his blog so go check it out and be awed!

Trannie Hitchhiking

My good friends, Sally and Vicky, begged me to put their latest trifle, I mean video, on my blog and I reluctantly agreed so here it is: Trannie Hitchhiking Pt. 1.

Unflattering-pic-day.

Today is unflattering pic day. I didn't have time to write so instead I'm offering up some pieces from my collection of extremely unflattering pics. I don't know why I enjoy looking at really bad pics of myself. Just call me The Masochistic Narcissist. Anyway, the first two pics are self-explanatory.

This next one is me crying over a doomed love affair from about 4 years ago. One of the few men I was ever crazy in love over. Maybe I'll discuss it one day.

And this is me crying over a dog I had to put to sleep named Bosco. Putting Bosco to sleep was the single hardest thing I've ever had to do. Maybe I'll blog about that, too, someday. But not today.

I hope you've enjoyed these unflattering pics. Have a great Tuesday.

Guess where I am?

The Happiest Day!

Today is one of the happiest days of my life. Caryn Horwitz, my lesbian lover, best friend, wife, and arch-enemy had to go for a biopsy after receiving an incomplete mammogram. They saw something tiny that they were unsure about so off to the biopsy we went. It was incredibly stressful for both of us but the news came back today and everything is FINE! The biopsy came back negative. We are both elated. Today is a great day! Whew!

Now I need to get a mammogram!

Sexy George Tenet

I've enjoyed watching angry George Tenet all week on the talk show circuit. I think there's something sexy about him. I would blow him, for sure. He's very masculine. Anger is sexy on some people. And I believe him. I like listening to him. I'm sorry but I do. Condi on the other hand, ugh, I never believe a damn word out of her mouth. I wish she she would just go away. Maybe she could join Rumsfield for a nice long vacation. I'm sure my brother could convince me that Tenet is the anti-Christ. lol

Jodie and Barbra

Some movies are a part of my DNA. Watching certain Disney live-action films from my childhood feels like watching home movies. I just watched the original version of Freaky Friday with Jodie Foster and Barbara Harris. God, I love this movie. Watching it is like being visited by distant relatives who haven't changed clothes in 20 years. I didn't see the remake with Lohan or Duff or whoever and I probably never will. Freaky Friday is a perfect little gem of a comedy that still holds up after all these years. It's light and silly with a dark undercurrent I can't quite explain. I really love this film. Thank you, Netflix.

Deuce Update

The reviews are out and they aren't as bad as the NY chatters predicted but they're not good, either. They say the women are great and the play is not. I'm fascinated by the Internet chatters and how they accurately foreshadow the "real critics." I predict, in 10 years from now, "real critics" will be obsolete. Amateur blogs and Web sites will completely erode the power of the of the major papers and one single opinion won't carry any weight.

Document This!

It's a bad day for documentaries!

I just read a report at Aint-It-Cool-News about the MPAA and their new guidelines for getting your film nominated. I guess this means my documentary, White Trash Cooking, won' be eligible! Damn!

______

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have quietly established new eligibility rules for documentary features.

In addition to a seven-day qualifying exhibition where docs have to play for at least seven consecutive days, twice a day, in either New York or Los Angeles, they now must complete a multi-state theatrical rollout of fourteen other markets (!) in at least ten different states (!!) twice a day for at least three consecutive days each.

The seven-day qualifying exhibition also must be completed by August 31, 2007. So, any doc that premieres at this year's Toronto International Film Festival (which likes to secure world premieres) in mid-September obviously won't make that August deadline and therefore will have to wait for submission the following year (2009 awards show).

Short documentaries now must also run in at least for additional cities in the U.S. once a day for two consecutive days.

Furthermore, documentaries filmed digitally must be shot in a particular format and meet certain projection requirements if they want to avoid being blown up to 16mm, 35mm or 70mm.

The Old Man and the Sea

I went into the Ocean today for the first time since last summer. It was cold at first but warmed up quickly. I wish I could swim without thinking of sharks!

Utopia

It's sad when a love affair ends. A year ago I blogged about my undying love for Los Angeles. I lived there for 12 years and sincerely loved it. I seriously LOVED LA. I would walk around and actively say to myself, "I love living in LA." I use to come to Oceanside on the weekends and once I stayed here for 6 weeks but I never dreamed I'd live here. Oceanside was always a temporary Utopia for me. I came, I loved it then I left. It was like a great mistress but I was dutifully married to LA and deeply in love. But something bizarre has happened. Since moving to Oceanside, I find LA to be an unbearable shit hole. LOL. I go back and I can't believe how people live there.

I left LA last night at midnight and it was like driving in the Indy 500. I literally felt like my life was in peril. People drive like they have a death wish and for 12 years I just put up with it like it was nothing. Insanity as a way of life. Luckily, I never had to endure a daily commute and mostly I was on the freeways at night but still I sat in my fair share of traffic. I'm sooo over LA. I don't miss it one bit. When I'm there I can't wait to get back to Oceanside or as I like to call it, Utopia. It's odd to think that at 38 years old, I may finally be home.

___________________

This blog was inspired by something my friend, Joseph Manghise sent me:

How to drive in Los Angeles. Instructions for visitors:

+ The morning rush hour is from 5:00am to noon. The evening rush hour is from noon to 7:00pm. Friday's rush hour starts on Thursday morning.

+ The minimum acceptable speed on most freeways is 85 mph. On the 105 or 110, your speed is expected to match the highway number.

+ If you actually stop at a yellow light, you will be rear ended, cussed out, and possibly shot.

+ Watch carefully for road hazards such as: drunks, skunks, dogs, cats, barrels, cones, celebs, rubberneckers, shredded tires, cell phoners, deer, road kill, and the coyotes feeding on any of these items.

+ GPS does not work in LA. None of the roads are where they say they are or go where they say they do. All the freeway off and on ramps are moved each night.

+ Do not try to estimate travel time, just leave Monday afternoon for Tuesday appointments, by noon Thursday for Friday and right after church on Sunday for anything on Monday morning.

Spiderman 3

Once again, my viewing of Spiderman was tainted by a sea of text-messaging in a sold-out theatre. Stopping text-messaging during movies may become my new obsession.

I didn't like the movie, I didn't hate the movie. I thought it failed but not in a Speed 2 type of way. It just was stop and go for me. I don't care about Spidermans' feelings and I don't care about the Dunst character, MJ. I want non-stop, edge-of-my-seat action. They spent 300 million, I want a fucking thrill ride. I felt like I was watching a weak Woody Allen movie interspersed with action sequences. Too much talk talk talk. Shut the fuck up and fight! For me, Batman Begins is, hands down, the best comic book movie I've ever seen. What Spiderman needs is Christopher Nolan. I'm even tired of Tobey Maguire and his condescending, flat-lined performances. He seems bored by Spiderman and acting in general and his boredom is contagious.

I might see it again in a month when the theaters are empty and my expectation is completely non-existent but for now I'm extremely disappointed. I'll keep you posted.

Thank you, Vincent!

Thanks to VincentLambert.com for running this picture of Dror Barak aka Roman Ragazzi. I Googled this guys pic but I couldn't find anything. Basically, this guy is the Prime Minister of Israel and he moonlights as a porn star. I read the story in Page 6 but they didn't have a pic. Ok, maybe he isn't the prime Minister but he did something important for Israel at the UN. Israeli men are hot! And openly gay guys are allowed in the Israeli Army. And I'm just rambling here. "Shock Chaser Video"

I saw this headline on Drudge and I thought they were referring to a shocking chubby chaser video. I got very excited, but alas, it's just another tornado in Kansas. However, if you like the movie Twister, you'll LOVE this video.

Joe Close

I love this photo of Joe Bailey as Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction. I find it sad and funny at the same time. My favorite funny is always intertwined with sadness. I worked with Joe hundreds of times. He's one of the only pure people I've ever met. Pure meaning he always did EXACTLY what he said he would, he treated everyone with total respect and he doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He is a genuinely good person. I wouldn't call Joe a friend because we never socialized and we don't keep in touch but I LOVED working with him and I'm glad he's still doing theater. And I really did LOVE working with him. Read my blog! Tell me how many actors I've said that about! Not many! I really LOVED working with Joe. He has his own theatre company in Detroit right now, called the Who Wants Cake Theatre Company, don't ask me what the fuck it means. Anyway, they're producing a stage version of Fatal Attraction. Didn't one of the 80's-Corys do it Off-Broadway? Cory Feldman or Cory Haim? Anyway, go see it!

I33T

I'm pretty savvy with the computer and the "internets". I may ask my friends for spelling and diet tips but I rarely need tech support. But whenever I need to be humbled. I look to my girlfriend, Carolyn Anhalt. She has her own blog and she truly is a computer and tech wizard. She tries to act humble but she knows full well she's smarter than 99.9% of the people on the planet.

So last week I ask her about the capitalization of the word Internet and she makes a reference to I33t kids. I have nooooo fucking clue what she means and I wasn't up to playing Sherlock Holmes that day. So today, I'm Googling something and I come across the pic below.

What the fuck is all this? And more importantly, why don't I don't take two minutes and Google it. Why am I resistant to researching this mystery? Questions for my therapist, maybe, but in the meantime Carolyn, what the hell is all this I33t stuff???

Small Town

Driving down Main Street (Coast Highway), I pull up next to a crazy-macho-tricked-out-red-truck. We both reach the stop light and I can tell right away it's a hot Marine; they're EVERYWHERE in this town. He glances over and catches me staring. Our eyes meet and he yells,

Him: Hey! What are you doing.

Me: (yelling back) Going to Wal-Mart!

Him: You gonna be around? I'll call ya later.

It's my newest "friend", Randall, a Marine Sargent I've blown about 4 times. Friendly faces everywhere! That's life in a small town!

I'm Frustrated!

Every time I see this commercial I rack my brain trying to figure out the name of the actress playing the mom. I've Googled it but I can't find the info. Somehow I know her. I don't think I worked with her but I've seen her act somewhere. Did she audition for me? I can't place her but I know I know her. I'm pretty sure I've had a conversation with her. I wish I could find her name. Oh well.

Don't Pump Gas On May 15th

I got this from my brother-in-law AND mother-in-law...and they don't even know each other! I love them both and I hate the oil companies so I won't be pumping gas on May 15th. I'll probably be pumping on May 14th though so what does it really matter...but I'm always up for an oil company boycott! I still don't use Exxon/Mobil by the way. I never stopped boycotting them.

Don't pump gas on MAY 15th!!!!

In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.

On May 15th 2007, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.00 a gallon in most places.

There are 73,000,000+ American members currently on the internet network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.

If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take $2,292,000,000.00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.

If you agree (which I can't see why you wouldn't) resend this to your entire contact list. With it saying, ''Don't pump gas on May 15th"

I hope I can get a ticket. lol

32 Showings today at The Grove in LA today. Last night at Hot Fuzz, I noticed there were seven midnight showings of Spiderman 3. 12:00 12:05 12:10 12:15 etc. etc. And only one was sold-out. I know it's gonna be a huge weekend but I wonder if they're over screening it. By the way, Box OfficeGuru.com , the best box office site on the Web is predicting 140 million over the the weekend.

Get a Mammogram. Surf the Web.

I'm in LA today to accompany my wife to her mammogram appointment. I brought my laptop but I wasn't expecting to be surfing the web in the waiting room. So I encourage all you Internet addicts to take your laptop and get a mammogram. I'm having my breasts checked out today, too, by the chubby chaser sitting next to me. Caryn has much smaller breasts now that she's lost so much weight. It's bad for our sex life though. I love me some big jugs! And I'm listening to Michael Jackson on iTunes sing, "Let's sing, shout, shake your body down to the ground!" Great song!

PS I hate capitalizing the word Internet.

Hot Fuzz

It's a very fun movie; the best climax I've seen in a long time. The ending mayhem is very funny, very exciting and goes on for quite a long time. If you liked Shaun of the Dead, which I did, then you'll like Hot Fuzz. In case you don't know it's sort of a spoof of action movies like Bad Boys but it's set in a little English village. So I'm also recommending it to you art snobs who think any film with British accents is good. Here's a link to the trailer. I don't think it's doing very well but I really enjoyed it.

Gasping For Air

I'm haunted by something I saw four months ago while watching the local fishermen on the Oceanside pier. The fisherman have white buckets and if you look inside you'll see what they've caught; sometimes the fish get released, others get eaten and some are used for bait.

This particular morning though, there was one little fish flopping around on the pier and people were simply ignoring it. I don't know who caught it or who threw it on the ground. I don't know why it wasn't thrown back or placed in a bucket but it was flopping around and no one seemed to care.

Well, that's not true, I cared, but it wasn't my fish.

I debated in my head the pros and cons of saving the flopping fish. I thought about buying the fish from the owner but I wasn't sure who the owner was. I was weary of winding up in an ethics battle with local fishermen over the treatment of fish. The fish continued to suffer while I stood there and debated with myself.

Ultimately, I decided to do nothing. I walked away and I have regretted the decision ever since. A simple scoop and toss from me would've saved the fish. I could've done something to save a life and I did not. The sight of that sad fish flopping around has haunted me. I was offered the opportunity to play God and I declined. I don't think the fish was aware I was watching it and I'm not aware of a God watching over me. However, if there is a God, I hope he feels as guilty as I do for just for standing by and watching. And in the future, If I come across another dying fish, I hope I will be better than God. I hope I will intervene.

Sleeping beauty.

Come Over For Cheesecake. Quick.

This box is going straight to the garbage. My neighbors are killing me with kindness. They just gave me this whole box of cheesecake even though they know I won't touch it. It's not so much that I'm dieting, it's more like I'm changing my choices. Why eat one slice of cheesecake (480 calories a slice!) when I can I eat a whole pan of sugar-free-fat-free jello (40 calories). So if you want some cheesecake get your ass over here pronto.

I Hate My Cell Phone

Every time I get a voicemail it beeps every 5 minutes til I get my ass off the couch and acknowledge it. Sometimes I'm in bed and I get a voicemail in the morning and that stupid beep keeps annoying me all fucking morning. I've tried to change that alert feature but nothing works so I'm just tolerating it til I get the iPhone then goodbye Verizon! You know those days where you feel like life will never better than it is today? I know I'll feel that way when I'm finally holding my iPhone! I can't believe they made a phone with a built-in aquarium! How do the clown fish survive? I love you, Steve Jobs.

The Condemned

It wasn't as bad as I hoped it would be. It wasn't as good as it could've been. It wasn't the worst movie I've ever seen. I got up during a boring part to check my e-mail on my phone so make of that what you will. I had read before hand that it was super violent but I found it tame. It's about a bunch of guys on death row who get sent to an island to kill each other and the last man alive wins. And the whole thing is posted on the internet. It tries to make some serious commentary about violence and kids and internet and commerce but I just zoned out during those parts. I was waiting for more bloodshed! I didn't go to to the movie to be lectured I went to see Stone Cold Steve Austin kick some ass! I think he's super hot; so manly! So Steve if you're reading this, call me!

PS How come my spellcheck on my INTERNET blog doesn't know the word internet??? Oh my God, is internet supposed to be capitalized??? Internet is spelled Internet? Are you fucking kidding me? That looks so weird. Sort of like how website is supposed to be spelled Web site but there's no way in hell I'm spelling it that way! Carolyn? Can you help me here? lol

Del Taco

These calories aren't that bad actually. I've cut out McDonalds but I still do Del Taco once or twice a week. And now I won't feel guilty.

Sad News: Tom Poston has passed on

I feel like staying home now and watching reruns of Newhart. What a great show. What a great actor. Farewell, Mr. Poston.

From BillyMasters.com

HOLLYWOOD mourns the loss of character actor Tom Poston. Best
known for his role on "Mork and Mindy" and "Newhart", in 2000
he married Suszanne Pleshette, an alum from "The Bob Newhart
Show".

It's Free Popcorn Tuesday

I'll be seeing The Condemned today. I bet most of you haven''t even heard of it. It's the trashiest action movie out right now, so I'm there! Woo-hoo!

"It's not only morally bankrupt but, between the ludicrous script and Z-level acting, scrapes the bottom of the entertainment barrel, too." Elizabeth Weitzman, New York Daily News

"In the end, it's just another commercial feature that's selling what it's condemning: getting off vicariously on violence." Gene Seymour, Newsday

"This is a fast-paced, well-made piece of garbage." Richard Roeper, Ebert & Roeper

I can NOT wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Batthouse Numbers

I recorded this video on my last birthday, February 14th, 2007, but just got around to uploading it tonight at 4:32 am. I feel about 3 months behind with projects. Actually I feel about 10 years behind on projects but that's another blog topic. The bottom line is I've taken longer settling in here than I anticipated. I actually came to Oceanside to work; write, shoot, edit, etc. The only distractions here are all the hot military men that keep coming over on their lunch hours, but I'm off topic, again. Anyway, this is a part of a bunch of ramblings I did on my birthday. It's not very flattering but most of my blog isn't very flattering, but..oh well. A wise man once said, "We can't airbrush our lives."
