New Wig For Sally

My friend, Sally, bought a new wig last week. I told her if she bought Rogaine she wouldn't have to wear wigs but the bitch won't listen to me. She's stubborn, that Sally!

The Next Jennifer?

First there was Jennifer Holliday, then came Jennifer Hudson and now comes Ronnie Larsen. Should he change his name to Jennifer. Does he earn a place in the pantheon next to those two legends? Watch his version of "And I Am Telling You, I'm Not Going" from one of his favorite musicals, Dreamgirls, and decide for yourself if the the next great "Jennifer" has finally arrived.

I'm Speechless

Don't ask me how I came by this pic, it would take too long to explain. Suffice it to say, when I saw it, my mouth literally dropped open. I'm still trying to make sense of it. What the hell is on his head? An S&M summer hood?

I actually blotted out his penis wrapped in a matching cockring. It felt obscene. And that's saying a lot coming from me.

Regina Fong lives!!!!!!!

This video shows the closest I ever came to being a member of a cult or becoming a religious fanatic. When I was 19 and in London for 6 months I would go every Tuesday night to the Black Cap in Camden to see and worship the amazing Regina Fong. A few years ago I found out she had died of cancer and I was, of course, incredibly sad. But thanks to the glory of YouTube she is alive again performing her famous finale. Check out this clip and picture me packed in this club with 300 other strangers doing this routine that we all knew by heart and did three times in a row at the end of each show. The video only shows it one time thru but I swear to God (Regina), we did it three times in a row at the end of a very long but thrilling evening. Watching this show every tuesday night and learning all the routines was some of the purest joy I have ever known.

Halloween Pedicure

Three weeks I struck a deal with my neighbor that if she would go see Jackass 2 I would go wwith her and get a pedicure. I've never had a pedicure before and I was reluctant to go but once I got there I jumped in, "feet first.' And by the end of the hour I was actually getting my toenailsd painted, black and orange for Halloween.

Then in the middle of my pedicure this macho Marine walked in with his wife and kids. I assumed he was there so his wife could get a pedicure but the wife just sat there and watched while he got his eyebrows waxed. I was so fascinated I took a camera pic.

Happy Halloween

Emulating Women

The next time you hear a gay person complaining about how mistreated we are in America send them a link to this article:

20 arrested at Saudi gay wedding

August 16 2006 at 08:01PM

Riyadh - Saudi authorities arrested 20 young men after raiding a suspected gay wedding in the southern town of Jizan, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The detainees, who were among some 400 men attending "the wedding party of two men" on Tuesday, had been "emulating women," the Al-Watan paper said.

In all, some 250 people were detained in the police raid on the party but the rest were later released.

Police had "arrested the wanted people and released those who have nothing to do with the matter," the paper quoted a police commander as saying.

Some guests were also seen chewing qat, an illegal narcotic widely used in neighbouring Yemen, on a hill above the square where the party was being held, Al-Watan said.

Homosexuality is illegal in conservative Saudi Arabia, which metes out strict punishments based on sharia, or Islamic law. - Sapa-AFP

They were arrested for emulating women! Can you imagine if they arrested people in America for emulating women? I'd spend most of my time in jail! lol

I love America! I do!

I'm voting for Miss Texas!

Just got this from one of my actors, Preston Brittan. Preston is one of my favorite actors I've ever worked with and I mean it. That's not phony-baloney-showbiz-ass-kissing-crap, it's true. Everyone knows I hate actors and I never kiss their asses except during the first week of rehearsal. After that it's all downhill.

Anyway, I never felt more secure on stage than when I was acting with Preston. (Except of course for the last night of 10 Naked Men in San Francisco when he got really drunk before the show but lets not dwell on the past! LOL)

We toured the country together playing in every shithole in America! What a thrill it was! (10% of the time. lol)

I adore watching Preston act and I would love to see him in his new show, Pageant, now playing in Denver. I don't have all the details but I'm sure you can Google the words - pageant denver theater dragshow preston alcohol - and something useful will pop up!

I actually saw the very first production of Pageant, off-Broadway, when it was at some supper club years ago! Years!!!!!!! I loved every minute of it!

Break a leg, Preston. Just like Whitney Houston said, "I will always love you!"

PS I ran into Brendan the other day at Fiesta Cantina. We had a great time. He looked great and was funnier than ever. We both agree you should be living and working in LA. Remember: Fish grow bigger when they swim in bigger ponds.

Trannie Panhandling

This is a video of two of my good friends, MzVicky and Sally, panhandling in Los Angeles. These girls are borderline insane and suffering from serious sex addiction but I love them both very much. Enjoy their video.

Regina Fong, I Miss You!

I lived in London for 6 months in 1990 and I had a grand time but the highlight of my trip was my weekly trek to The Black Cap Pub in Camden to worship the greatest drag performer I have ever seen: Regina Fong. I love drag, period. Any guy in a dress amuses me but Regina Fong was truly the most amazing, most charismatic and most loved drag queen I have ever seen.

Every Tuesday night hundreds of "Fong-worshippers" would cram into the backroom of The Black Cap Pub for three hours of pure, hyper, adrenaline-filled escapism. Every week we'd sing along to the same songs and watch her do the same routines and every week it was fresher and funnier than before.

I became an instant fan and went every single Tuesday. I forced my friends to go and they fell in love with her, too.

I haven't been back to London in many years but I've thought of her often, so last week I Googled her and my mouth fell to the floor as I read the following:

"It is with the utmost sadness that we report that one of the all-time great drag performers, H.I.H. Regina Fong died last night following a long battle with cancer."

She passed away on April 14, 2003

I was stunned all day. I don't worship many performers. I use to worship Adam Ant. I love Anthony Hopkins. I find Jodie Foster endlessly fascinating. Patti Lupone is another performer I can never get enough of but the list is small. This woman, this otherworldy creature, this one-of-a-kind entertainer should have been granted immortality. Every Tuesday night I experienced pure joy for three hours. It was a gift she gave her followers.

I met Reg once out of drag in the lobby of the Drill Hall Arts Centre. I approached him and told him what a big fan I was and he smiled humbly and responded, "It's just lipsynching."

No Regina, it wasn't. In memory of her on the anniversary of her death I created a video tribute to this amazing person who gave me so much happiness. I miss you Regina Fong!

When Winona Meet Sally

Just watched Winona on Larry King talking about...well about everything...why do these celebrities feel the need to go on tv and talk about what disasters they are? I ask it with love. Nothing against Winona but what did she accomplish just now except for reminding everyone she got a DUI, which i had totally forgotten about. And she kept referring to "Winona music" as if "Winona music" is a genre. I just checked iTunes and no they don't have Winona listed as a genre. And she talked about how lonely it is living in hotels, blah blah blah...really, we all know celebrities are miserable, how could they not be? But what is served by going on talk shows and reveling in your horrible mistakes. Any fascination I had with Winona is officially over, now i just feel sorry for her...sort of like the way I feel about Whitney Houston after watching Being Bobby Brown. TV used to create intriguing fantasy, (Charlies Angels, anyone?) but now all we get is depressing reality. (Danny Bonaduce, anyone) I'm not complaining but if i were these peoples publicist I would tell them to keep the dirty laundry in the closet. But what the fuck do I know?
