Just saw two fabulous documentaries about fighting, winning, losing,
ego, showbiz, success and failure. Every Little Step is all about
Broadway and Tyson is all about boxing yet ultimately they are about
the same thing. It was thrilling to see them back to back. They
bookend perfectly together, one is masculine, one is feminine. They
both feature dancing and obsession with performance. Tyson is
seriously disturbed but so is anyone who would pursue a career in the
theatre; trust me, I know, I've been there. I was shocked at how much
I related my own life to Tyson's. You may think you hand nothing in
common with a brutal, unecucated boxer but I found myself empathising
with him as much as I did the desperate actors in Every Little Step.
Go see them both. See them back to back. They are both quite thrilling.

I'm on the red carpet!!!
Zzzzzzzz. LA is so ridiculous. I can't believe I lived in this
nonsense for 10 years. I'm here to see a movie, Every Little Step and
A BIG RED CARPET PREMIERE for Next Day Air is happening on the
sidewalk. Soooo glamorous! Soooo silly. SO L.A.! I miss you already,
Oceanside!
